Anyone have a quick code for setting Akechi's confidant to Rank 8 or so? So that he has all of his party abilities?

Still desperately attempting to figure out if it's possible to add Akechi to the party while retaining his ability to equip items and outfits. Any help is appreciated!

I'd like to know this too. You can't equip him with anything, and he also disappears from the party list if you remove him from the party and back out of the menu.
