Unless money is server monitored there's a good chance to get banned. I know folks got ban with using save wizard in FFXV comrades so we will need a confirmed dummy test for sure

Well the guest codes are still functional; however [Tested Myself] If you had a save file with a guest before the new patch 1.15, the guest character will become unresponsive at least it did for Iris as she wandered off on her own. Yes it does but probably only if you own the DLC tho you just get the DLC weapons before actually completing the episode. But might aswell just do them anyway b/c you get new outfits and trophies

Hes probably working on quick weapons/accessories as we speak unless his break was a vacation, but in the meantime its pretty easy to just replace unwanted gear with powerful and rare stuff using Advance Mode.
