Hey hope this thread is still alive
I've been trying for figure out how to add modified gems into the game. So far I've tried looking for gem ID's in HxD in the decrypted save wizard folder located in appdata and no matter what I search for nothing comes up and I've tried searching for the watcher bosses source ID which I've beaten multiple times and nothing is coming up if anyone could help or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated thanks for your time guys!

You have to search for the Source ID, no other things.

Make sure to follow these steps :
1. Get a gem by killing a Boss
2. Keep that gem
3. Open savedata and look for Source ID related to killed Boss

Should work, can't see what you did wrong tbh.

To piggy back on Aladore's response, the only other method I can think of to locate your gems is to search for 01 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 or 01 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 depending on what type of gem it is. Now be warned this could potentially result in you going into your runes and editing those, so try to use this as a last ditch effort. The gems should be located very early in your save data no matter what you've named yourself, so look there.

I just killed watchers boss to make sure I'm doing it correctly
got a bloodgem from drop and searched for watcher source ID CC 0F 10 80 in HxD in every userdata file and nothing is popping up. I honestly have no clue what I'm doing wrong I'm following it step by step.

Took me like two seconds, this is where your gems start:

Image

All the FF brakets seperate the gems, so you can note the next gem is the 41 a line or so below. You can edit the FF brackets to make really broken gems if you'd like, which you can see here:

Aladore's handy tutorial should guide you through the rest. Also I would start at offset 000000A4 which is the 41 seen in the screenshot. I always personally get nervous about editing the first gem of the bunch, but feel free to do otherwise.
