How to Write Files to Vita
RE: How to Write Files to Vita
Step by step instructions:
1) Download thunderbird
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/
Outlook will corrupt the data
2) Open writer.eml with Thunderbird
3) Go to Message -> Edit as new Message (Ctrl + E)
4) Enter your email and send to device
5) On the VitaTV, open the email and click the image/attachment
6) You will get an error message, do not click anything
7) Press the PS/Home button, close the email program (so the page-ripping animation plays completely)
8) Re-open the email program
You will know that the previous steps have worked if you have to re-setup your email account
9) From your computer, rename the vita list_launch_vita.dat file to just "#0" (no quotes, no extension)
10) Attach it to an email to yourself with the subject "ur0:game/launch/list_launch_vita.dat" (no quotes)
11) Open the email on the VitaTV
12) Click the image/attachment
13) You will get an error message, do not click anything
14) Press the PS/Home button (close the email program if you want)
15) Go into settings, network, uncheck "Connect to the internet"
Now you can open a game.

However, I renamed that file at 9 and sent it via 10. I opened the email app on my PSTV. I clicked on the attachment. It's just blinking and doesn't appear to be doing anything. Did I do something wrong?

Worked it out I had to delete the .dat file extension.

Fantastic guide. One suggestion is to put EXACTLY what goes into the "subject" line. Many guides take forgranted that user will know the exact specific file path, when often most of us have no clue.neotechni wrote: Step by step instructions:

Hi Mr.gas,
I had the problem when I tried to write modified file back to psv via email. in your screenshot the attached file named #0, but in my mail app it called "done". It would be appreciated if you can give me some advice.
