This tutorial will help you to update your PS TV to an especific firmware with out using all the others methods than exist for the PS Vita. This will be more easy and fast to do.
You will need these things:
- USB Drive with 150 MB of free space.
- The OFW that you want to actualizate. You can download it from here
- Once you have downloaded the update file, you have to rename from "PSP2UPDAT.PUP" to "PSVUPDAT.PUP".
- For be sure, format your USB Drive to FAT 32.
- Creat a folder called "PSVITA" and inside another folder called "UPDATE".
- Put the "PSVUPDAT.PUP" file inside the "UPDATE" folder
- Now its time to got to the PS TV, turn off the power of your PS TV system completely.
- Press and hold the Power button on your PS TV system for at least 7 seconds to turn on the power. The system starts in safe mode. Dont forget to conect the Dualshock and press PS button.
- Choose the 5th option called "Update System Software" and then choose "Update from USB Storage Device"
- The system will thell you to conect the USB Drive and disconect the Dualshock.
- If everything is OK, the system will recognize the file and the PS TV will start to update.
- If you want be more sure, disconnect your Wifi modem.
- And it's done!!
REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN'T DOWNGRADE!!

Hola chicos de Hackinformer! Este es mi primer post aqui y mas que nada lo hago para devolverles la gentileza y la ayuda que ustedes me han dado en todo lo que se referiere a la scene con mis consolas
Este tutorial que les voy a enseñar les va a servir a aquellos que posean una PS TV y que como me paso a mi, estén en la necesidad de actualizar a una versión de firmware en especifico.
Los métodos que existen para la PS Vita no nos van a servir a los poseedores de una PS TV, ya que solo disponemos de una conexion Wi-Fi y no de USB que es la manera con la que funcionan la mayoria de los metodos. A no ser el metodo de crear un proxy pero ese a mi no me daba el link correcto y preferí no arriesgarme.
Entonces encontre este método que me pareció muy sencillo, rapido y seguro.
Vamos a necesitar estas cosas:
- Un pendrive USB con al menos 150 MB libres
- El OFW al que querramos actualizar la consola. Lo pueden descargar desde aqui
Vamos a empezar:
- Una vez que hayan descargado el archivo de actualizacion tiene que renombrarlo de "PSP2UPDAT.PUP" a "PSVUPDAT.PUP".
- Para estar seguros de que no hay ningun problema con el pendrive, formateenlo a FAT 32.
- Creen una carpeta en la raiz del pendrive llamada "PSVITA" y otra dentro de esta llamada "UPDATE".
- Ahora nos toca irnos a la PS TV, la apagamos completamente.
- Una vez apagado completamente, mantenemos apretado el boton de encedido por unos 7 segundos y nos deberia de aparecer el menu Recovery de la consola. No se olviden de conectar el mando por USB y presionar el boton PS.
- Escogemos la 5ta opcion llamada Actualizacion de Sistema y luego elegimos Actualizar mediante dispositivo de almacenamiento USB.
- El sistema les dirá que conecten el pendrive y desconecte el mando.
- Si todo esta bien, el sistema reconocerá el archivo en el pendrive y comenzará a actualizar.
- Si quieren estar mas seguro de que nada suceda, desconecten su modem wifi hasta que todo haya terminado.
- Y eso es todo!!
RECUERDEN QUE EL DOWNGRADE NO ES POSIBLE!!
