New to ps vita hacking. Quick guidance please!

Post by dream3 » Fri Jan 27, 2017 7:31 pm

Hey guys.

I'm about to buy a sealed ps vita 1000. It should come with firmware 1.xx.

The reason I'm looking into buying this ps vita is EXCLUSIVELY to play old ps1 games both from ISOs/eboots and downloaded from PSN.

So very quickly:

1- Which firmware should I manually update it to? 3.60, 3.18, 1.80, other?

2- Which hack/custom firmware/jailbreak method should I be using (depending on the firmware of course)?

3- Can I still transfer PS1 games bought from PSN from my PS3 with latest stock firmware TO this PS vita with old firmware?
I've read some guides but not sure if they are up to date or if they work with recent ps3 firmware.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For PS1 3.18FW is the best but you can also do ps1 bubbles up to FW3.52.

The best thing to do is check out our all in one guide as it list what you can do with each FW and will walk you though the steps for each exploit/hack.

Thanks a lot! Very good quality info there bro :)

Think I'll stick to 3.18 then.

I should be able to play my PSN ps1 games with sound and still use cheats and plugins like TN Savestate?

TNX for FW3.18 never had plugin support, I have a beta that had sound homebrew support but that was more of a POC then meant to use daily. Here you can take a look at the beta TNX with menu support and homebrew poc..
