[SOLVED] Problem activating PS Vita TV on lower FW (advance)

Post by uhuiii » Mon May 23, 2016 7:49 am

Hello Guys, wanna ask some question about Japan vita tv fw 3.01:
(I have search google but i didn't find any good information)

1. Any way of using us psn account on Japan vita tv below fw 3.30?
=> Not necessary as i already bought exploit game on region 3. Just to make sure.

2. Im trying to connect to ps3 to activate the vita tv, here is what i did:
A. using wifi router (im sorry i forget router's brand and type)
- the ps3, vita tv and pc has already connected to the same router.
- cannot add/find any device on vita (no devices were found)
- i have disable router's firewall and check the dhcp enable. through router setting, i can see all of my devices got local ip
B. using handphone tethering connection (cdma iph*ne)
- the ps3, vita tv and pc has already connected to the same handphone "router".
- my vita tv can find/connect to pc or ps3
- on the contrary, my ps3 cannot sign in to psn (isp problem i think, or maybe iph*ne security problem?)
=> So, any advice on router setting? i prefer using A btw

3. If i activated my other ps vita using psn id A, and move the memory card to un-activated vita tv (initial set up using psn id A), will my vita tv get activated to?

4. Tekken 2 (japan) on asia region, is the same as Tekken 2 on japan region, am i right? I checked wiki, there are only 3 regions back then: us, japan and europe.

Well that is it that i want to ask. Thank you for your reply

For the router stuff I can't help you i guess. But to activate the PSTV you will need to have a PS3 that can access PSN anyways. And moving the Memory Card will not activate your VitaTV. :/

You can go have a look over here: http://hackinformer.com/PlayStationGuid ... guide.html

And for the Tekken 2 region you could check the title id. If it fits SLPS00300 (Japan Region save file) it theoretically should be the same game and work for your region.

Good luck

I made it out somehow by using wifi router repeater. Maybe there are some security problem on my 1st router.

And for tekken2 (japanese) on asia region 3, YES the japan save game exploit WORKS

May i ask another question?
your guide about install tn v buble without exploit game here:
hackinformer.com/PlayStationGuide/PSV/tutorials/how_to_install_tnv_bubble_without_exploitgame.html
if i install it on my other handheld ps vita, and move the memory card to activated ps vita tv with the same id, will the buble still work? and vice versa?

And as celebration, i'm gonna give a 100% working solution to people who got error code C3-14978-9 when connecting to QCMA

Solution C3-14978-9
1. You should have BOTH installed CMA (open CMA) and QCMA, but only one running at a time.
2. Cek via controll panel and uninstall QCMA USB driver (type B bla bla..)
3. Run CMA, and connect vita to CMA untill transfer choice position (ps vita to pc and or pc to ps vita) and unplug the cable and do nothing => basicly the same as ps3 trick
4. Kill CMA, and install QCMA USB driver, run QCMA and plug vita cable back in
5. Profit

Yes thanks again.

I'm sorry, asking another question, your guide here
http://hackinformer.com/PlayStationGuid ... ch_v2.html

1. Resetting your PSTV will remove the patch => do you mean rebuild database or turn vita off?
2. If Resetting your PSTV removes the patch, then didn't i just need to repeat number 11 step only? (opening email that already has app.db modified)
"11) If everything did go right you should see a camera symbol. Select it and DO NOT click OK on the appearing Error Message but simply close the e-mail app completely!"

Thank you.

Oh and one more tips:
If you guys install a TN-V Bubble without any exploitgame and want to install TN-X, you will find that they both need the same TNV folder name.
Here are what you need to do:

TN-X and TN-V same folder name

1. Open H.BIN in tekken/moto PSX save file
2. Edit with hexeditor on ms0:/PSP/SAVEDATA/TNV/TN.BIN into ms0:/PSP/SAVEDATA/TNX/TN.BIN => Don't use backspace, just block the V and replace with X
3. Save it
4. Rename TNV folder files (the TN-X one) from TNV into TNX
*Basicly you can change to whatever at step 2 but should be the same with step 4
5. Profit

By resetting I mean a complete Database rebuild. A Database refresh and normal rebooting is fine of course.
And no you can't just re-use an email as the file will be moved and thus not be found again (you however can via the older eml-method), you will need to start over again..

I will make the guide more clear on the points you mentioned. Thank you too :)
