I think the biggest point of contention occurred with the release of Monster Hunter: World and the inability to use Advanced Mode on it when it is in place for FFXV: Comrades, and the two games are exactly the same type of game.

They list those elemental stones as Key Items and not Treasures, so they're listed further up in your save. You should have noticed all of your other Key Items in that section where you found those too.
