Any chance of this happening soon? Lol
I sent you a message with a vague tutorial for doing it. It's also possible to force teach them liscenses of your choice, but that's more complicated. Losing all my notes on it when my drive died killed my motivation and I moved on. I wasn't in the habit of backing everything up online back then. If Square releases the updated FFXII that xbox and switch are getting as a patch or DLC upgrade for PS4, I'll probably redo my work on it.
If you check the FFXII board, my work for adding guests and espers to the party permenantly was all posted though. So there's always that.

I'd like more info on it as well lol. I managed to change Cor and Aranea's weapon to something completely different by accident, but would like a method on equipping accessories for the guests too whenever you can for help, thumbs up!

By the way I tried Ifrit and didn't seem to work. Also tried Glaive again and still appears invisible (I even tested it on a whole new game file but still comes up invisible including New Game+), not sure on what i'm looking for to make the Glaive appear visible.

you read the note?

Add Glaive (Custom level, pre-ch14) *Must have Comrade character created or will be invisible, but will still fight using Comrades weapon types and abilities. Stops working if preset Glaive was loaded during A Glaive Out of Time. Getting Glaive to not be invisible is theoretical since I did not initially have a Glaive created.

I only created codes for valid characters, but provided the addresses for characters like Ravus and Ifrit anyway in case someone can find a workaround to make dlc only characters appear. But it may not be possible on console.
And the Glaive codes do work, but making them not invisible is theoretical. Like the note said, when i first reeached A Glaive Out Of Time, i did not have a glaive created. And if you don't create one, the address changes to the second code in the data for the remainder of chapter 14, before reverting back to the first code in chapter 15. But again, i did not initially have one created and had already activated the quest and was saving outside the quesr point with those results as the behavior.

I read the note yep, as well the details. I had a character created for ages (used the code for an already made character) but wasn't exactly sure where and when the code actually applied to remove that flag that renders them invisible. If theory portions are applying, where do most of it actually commence via specifics? you mentioned "stops working if preset Glaive was loaded during "A Glaive Out of Time", does that mean you have to apply the code before the actual mission as in not speaking to the quest giver? applying it while the mission is active by not actually going to the Glaive? or after the mission entirely where it's safe to apply? because I tried all three and had no results (still invisible) so how big is the theory portions? outside of non-created characters which i'm not sure if it's worth deleting the created character to make it work. Granted that you did it without making a created character I know, will you by any chance (when you get the time) test a created one? - the Glaive codes works of course but the biggest hurdle is removing the invisibility flag.

Apologies as this has been a talk thing from others in other FF forums, Fearless forums, Discord etc. for quite a long time that no one has figured the exact time on when this is applied. Some people thought others just got lucky by having them not invisible, however I am glad someone is digging into this because the topic was left incomplete as many people who tried to dig into it have left and hasn't returned since then regarding the Glaive, so nothing but props to you.

I don't know for fact the exact time the change occured. I'll give you a rough timeline of events.

1. Pre-Royal Edition. I'd played around with young Cor in chapter 15. After Royal Edition and Episode Ardyn released I started a new file from level 1.
2. Glaive code on spreadsheets was incorrect, but I did a fresh playthrough using young Cor, Iris, and Aranea constantly.
3. Played the Terra Wars event for the first time. I really wanted her in my party, and person on youtube claimed to have her on PS4 but wouldn't provide code.
4. Took the effort to find Sarah myself. Youtuber with PS4 claim was a liar. Noticed they neglected to show off the menu which would have gave away they were on PC and noticed the technique worked in his video. After finding Sarah myself, can prove her tech doesn't work in the main game. Also noticed a pattern with how character addresses are located.
5. Fixed Glaive code, plus made codes for all valid and invalid characters (barring Cor, Iris, Aranea, Ardyn, Umbra, which Skriller did). Still didn't create a Glaive so assumed invisibe 490 HP Glaive was normal. Continued playing game. Should note the last time i used Cor or any other guest was chapter 10. Not being able to use Ignis' Regroup to make them bypass dungeon obstacles, made it pointless if they'd quit following.
6. Chapter 14, met old Cor and wanted Cor on my team for all of Insomnia, but noticed his code no longer worked. FIgured it had something to do with his older version replacing younger self since his stats, level, equips were different (the Vincent/Sephiroth issue in FF7 with them sharing data).
8. Started Glaive out of Time quest and noticed blonde guy with a bun joined me all leveled up. Tried to add blonde Glaive permanently and assumed he would show up. Noticed my Glaive code no longer worked anymore either. Decided to look at the code and see what was up with all these working codes no longer functioning.
9. Noticed the addresses for Cor, Glaive, Gentiana, Titan, and Sarah were all different. Made new secondary codes for each of them. Something triggered an address change for each of these characters. Likely plot flags. Could now add old Cor, leveled preset (invisible) Glaive, and non clumsy Sarah after investigating this and making fresh secondary codes.
10. Reached chapter 15 and decided to take another look at the Glaive and try and fix it. Noticed the addresses for all the above characters except Cor were reverted to their 1st versions. But for all except Cor, the 1st or 2nd versions will work. Have a pretty good idea how to force swap between young/old Cor without activating the plot flags. Same way you do it for Vincent/Sephiroth. Also have an theoretical idea on how to get Ravus by making him use the address of another character instead of his own. I did this in FF7 (playstation) to make Sephiroth use Cait Sith's data instead so that him and Vincent could be in the same party. Still don't know if it will work with Ravus if his model refuses to load in main game. But back to Glaive.....
11. Glaive theory disproven.

Since you did have a Glaive already made and my theory has been disproven, it causes me to have a new theory. For the Glaive, the code must have something like this in it. An ID that dictates your Ancestor A and B, Torso, Leg, Hand, Foot Gear, Outfit, Accessory, Height, Weight, Leg Width, Arm WIdth, etc, with each item/slider number assigned a value from 00 to FF, 0000 to FFFF, or 00000000 to FFFFFFFF. In the Glaive out of Time quest, these all become equivalent IDs to the selected piece/size while the Glaive is in your party and they all revert to 00 or FF (or the larger byte versions), which equals nothing, when he's not. Hence why the Glaive is invisible. You'll notice when you approach the quest marker he takes a few seconds to load in. That is probably the game applying all these IDs. It's impossible to save with the Glaive in your party, so hard to look at the discrepancies in the code to find out where all these "part/size" IDs are located. It's the best I can come up with and very likely to be the issue which could fix everything. Again it's a theory, but a very plausible one. I've put down FFXV for a bit to play WWZ, but when I do get back to the former, I'll look into it more.

NeroTek - Awesome awesome.

By the way, I think I know the Youtuber regarding the Sarah video, though I don't think he was lying per say, but rather he just didn't provide the code in the description because he mentioned on Discord that he doesn't want to get credit for it via on Youtube (and probably why he provided the link on where he got the codes). Looking through his video, you'll notice that he gets a PSN notification at the top left (group community) somewhere down the video timeline and the only way this can happen is via the PS4. I seen someone else stream Sarah on the PS4 with working techniques a few months back, it's on the same boat as the Glaive, one of those moments where i'm not sure how things get worked around.

I was mistaken about it not being on PS4. Someone pointed out to me that Sarah's technique does work up until you open the menu, then it breaks. So my apologies for that. They also provided a method to get Sarah back if she leaves due to you changing outfit (just travel to and from the present). Actually I think it was TheChromatus right above this who's been playing around with it. I haven't tested these methods myself, still busy with WWZ and probably trying out Days Gone after this. This hacking work is tedious and need a break from it every now and then. Still hoping PS4 FFXII gets a patch with the new features and may redo my lost work if it does.
Regarding Glaive. If you know someone with the PC version who can use cheat engine to have access to a save anywhere code,so that they can save with the Glaive in the party, it will probably be possible to cross reference that to the non Glaive save and find these creation part locations back on PS4.
