Is anyone else having trouble with Sora's codes?

I don't usually like maxing out his stats, so I change the hex values to match what I see fit.
For example,

Max HP
10015714 00007D7D changed to 10015714 00000022
This somehow changed his health to 0 in game.

I also used changed his Strength, Magic, and Defense.
I loaded the game an noticed that the values didn't match what I typed in.
STR : 28, when I wanted it to be 16 (I changed the second line of hex to "00000010")
MGC: 30, when I wanted it to be 15 (Changed "0000000F")
Etc.

I've editted other codes before with no problem before, maybe I'm missing something?
Are these codes bad?
I'm playing on a US version of the game, if that make any difference

That's because the last two are his max HP and the two before it are his current HP. Try 10015714 00002222

Thanks! That got the job done!
Now, in regards to the Strength, Defense, and Magic, I first came to the conclusion that the decimal value of the Hex number ADDED to the already in game value instead of changing it, but this isn't EXACTLY true.

For example, my in game stats before changing them were:
Strength: 10
Magic: 9
Defense: 9

The codes I used:
Strength: "00015719 00000006" > This changed my Strength from 10 to 16
Magic: "0001571A 00000005" > This changed my Magic from 9 to 14
Defense: "0001571B 00000005" > This changed my Defense from 9 to 13

It's all very inconsistent.
I haven't tested it, and honestly probably won't since I'm comfortable with the results..for now, BUT the different attributes (STR, MGC, DEF) add up differently, meaning that each skill/attribute is calculated differently rather than the same? Like maybe adding 5 to Defense actually only adds 4 for some reason. idk lol

Is there a code that resets the game to the very beginning, as if you just started a new game? Is there a code to have Donald and Goofy with you as Roxas? I know they will just disappear with a room transition, but I just need them to unequip their drive forms before they are gone. Thanks!

When using the difficulty codes does anybody else have the issue where they save file is blank? Like it doesn’t say a difficulty but it shows everything else.
