Okay so I figured out the best way to go about swapping weapons. What I did is I would buy the Hunter's Axe, then I would copy my save over and open it in advanced mode, then I would search for the hex value that the Hunter's Axe would fall under, 404B4C00, make sure that it is followed by a 01 and has a few numbers before as well, such as 08 or something similar. Then just find the weapon you area wanting to use and replace the values. Do not continue the save, load it. Loading it made the modifications 100% successful while continuing was around 70%. I did turn the hunter's Axe into every combination there, just to let you know it will not net you the trophy for all weapons.
Awesome! Glad it worked. This would make starting NG with different builds much more enjoyable, since you don't have to finish half the damn game before you get your weapons!
My personal favorite is to get a level 10 beast claw, it's explained as to how to make certain levels in the spreadsheet, and just equip some runes that will help me deal 12k+ damage. Been playing online with this stuff for about two days now and no ban surprisingly.
Just to clarify I'm not going into someone else's world or anything like that, I'm not wanting to be someone to abuse this tool and be the reason as to why SW pulls advanced mode..

I highly doubt there's any kind of anti-cheat for Bloodborne. If so, it's probably easy to get around it.
Considering how lax it is on Dark Souls 3, I would expect even less for Bloodborne since it's a console exclusive and the number of people using the save editor for nefarious means is much lower.
I'm just glad I don't have to spend 10 hours of my game optimizing a build for NG+ and dungeon co op. No need for material farming either. It makes the game better, honestly.

The method is the same.
1. Find the Blood Gem ID.
2. Find the armor you want to modify.
3. Extend the socket and create an Blood Gem ID value.
Has anyone found a way to create bloodgems/caryll runes without requiring one in your inventory? The problem seems to be the gem's "source" as best I can tell.

This never has once worked for me- I've tried several different combinations and every time I load in the game the weapon stays the same- but I cant sell it or discard it unless I buy another of the same weapon. However- it will sometimes let me buy the new weapon making me believe the game reads it being whatever I tried to change it to. This wouldn't be too much of a problem but I would like to start the game with plus 10 variants Any ideas of something else I can try or if I'm doing something wrong?

Once you have the weapon, you can edit it up to +10, or just edit items into upgrade materials. Buy a pebble, make it 16 blood shards. Change a molotov to 16 twin shards. Maybe fire paper to 16 chunks. Then some bolt paper or something to a blood rock.
