Region workaround?

I have an NBA2k19 Save file from the US. I live in New Zealand. I can't use Save Wizard to change the region because this game is not supported so unable to access the advanced mode.
I made a new account with a US address and region but NBA2k19 still only picks up saves in the NZ region not the US
Any idea how to work around this?
