I am getting error C4-10278-8 while formatting the memory card. I have also tried to restore and rebuild database from safe mode but the problem still exists.

Your memory is dead.. its happen to me to many times. I have kill 4 cards now.

But i have only used it for two or three month. How have sony made these cards with such a high price tag and short life span.

Yeah, it sucks and I have no idea why some can die so fast. So I feel your pain..
