I'm really not understanding how these item codes on the pastebin work. I'm trying to add the trashy butterfinger DLC and the preorder materia I missed. I can understand putting in the IDs, quantities, AP etc. But what the actual hell is an epoch unix timestamp and how does that fit into the code? Can anyone simply post a functional code to add materia or equipment?

That's a pretty negative way of putting it bro, but I'll try and send some positive vibes for you. Here:

Positive vibes bro, be positive. I hope any of those help

Right there with you bro. Absolutely lost with some of the formulas given. I hope someone will be generous enough to throw a couple when they're not too busy *cough-cough* ;)

Be careful with max stat codes. We don't know yet how they will deal with transferring progress to the next FF7 episode. If you do max stats and it transfers offer, it'll make the next episode a total cakewalk. Maybe have one separate save reserved for cheats and one save untouched.

I just want to know how to add single weapons/materia. Only thing Im seeing are a bunch codes and ID's thrown at us with little details.
The only thing that makes sense is the item's ID

zachillios already explained earlier in this thread that stat increase codes are not possible with the way they coded the saves. It seems the only way to make your character stronger than the game intended is by adding armor/accessories/materia that would normally be limited in supply.

I found these Add Materia codes worked for me from NextGenUpdate Forums. They had Magnify, Luck Up and Magic Up. I will say that trying to use these multiple times seems to crash Save Wizard. I'm guessing it's something to do with the timestamp that's required, maybe it crashes as it can't accept two materia with the exact same timestamp?

it's easier for coders/devs to write codes in this way.. because writing a code with a set ID & value for for every single item or stat in the game would be overkill...
these codes are written out as templates & its up to the end user to slot in the stat/item ID they want changed + the value... its not that hard, put a little effort in learning how to use these or join (Save Wizard) - Discord & (Save Wizard Discord) on their use. or if you don't understand something feel free to ask any question there ;)

you can use either https://www.unixtimestamp.com/index.php or https://www.epochconverter.com to convert the time to epoch, which is essentially your time, date & zone converted to a unix time stamp which is needed for some codes.

I don't fully understand this myself but from what I can gather the epoch time thing is setting the timestamp in game for when the item was added... so when you pick up an item in-game there is a timestamp assisted with it... so when editing in items into your save you need to assign a timestamp to it & it has to be in unix format. just copy & paste in the value found here: https://www.epochconverter.com/hex which will give you the current time in unix format...
https://www.epochconverter.com/clock <-- clock

I find it easier to use https://www.unixtimestamp.com/index.php to convert my current time to the necessary format....

Yeah I found those 3 yesterday hoping to re use their code structure for other materia. But that timestamp bit just isn't explained much to be bothered with.
I ended up just using the All materia x10 cheat to get what I wanted, I just don't like the idea of them having max ap since its my 1st playthrough I try my best not to make the party crazy strong. But materia can be bought with gil anyway. I see they added new codes today like unlock all weapons too in SW discord via pastebin.
